Alan Douglas Stewart

Alan Douglas Stewart, a wonderful and talented artist, has passed away at his residence on September 26, 2023. Born on July 19, 1951, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Alan's artistic pursuits brought joy to those around him throughout his life.

Alan was a devoted son to his parents, Jesse Harrison Stewart Jr. and Ellen Nicholson Stewart. They provided unwavering support and encouragement for his artistic journey from the very beginning. His talent was nurtured under their loving guidance, and he always expressed his gratitude for their belief in his abilities.

With paintbrushes in hand and a palette of vibrant colors at his disposal, Alan transformed blank canvases into masterpieces. His art became a reflection of his soul - intricate, nuanced, and filled with emotion. Each stroke of his brush seemed to breathe life into the canvas, evoking feelings of awe and wonder in anyone who had the privilege of experiencing his work.

As we bid farewell to Alan, we remember him not only as an exceptional artist but also as a beloved son and cherished friend. Although he may no longer be physically present among us, the memories we have created together will forever hold him close in our hearts.

Alan is survived by his cousins, Joe Ashton (Kay), John Ashton(Debbie), Mark Ashton(Cathy), Tim Hewitt(Pam), Lynn Stewart who admired his talent and shared in his love for creativity. They will forever cherish the moments spent in his company and ensure that his artistic legacy lives on.

In this time of loss, let us take solace in the indelible mark that Alan has left on our lives. He has touched our hearts through his artwork and kind spirit, and we will forever remember him as a beacon of artistic brilliance and love. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his art continue to inspire generations to come.
