Aliene Lemmons Green

Aliene Elizabeth Lemmons Green, 72, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on October 17, 1952 to the late Ella Mae and Turner Lemmons.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jimmy, grandsons, Donovan and Jax; sister, Benny Lee, brothers, John L. and Fred and her step dad, Lester.

Aliene enjoyed watching wrestling with the tv on full volume and listening to all kinds of music. She was passionate about caring for her animals and passed the love for music and animals on to her family.  Most of all, there was nothing she loved more than her kids and grandkids. She was known as a Moma to many and a Nana to all. The memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Lemmons (Charlie), Turn-Up Green (Sandra), Teresa Brittain (Cole), Leslie Green (Mel), Lucy Rankin, Dee Green and Fred Green, Jamie Reep and Donna Lemmons; Nana’s special grandkids, Macy and Faith (Jeremy); sibling, Trisha Biggers (Mike), 17 grandkids and 33 great grandkids.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
