Dallas – Johnny Allen Thompson, 66, passed away May 11, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaston County on July 28, 1955, to the late John William Thompson and Jessie Wright Thompson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Doug Thompson.
Allen was a member of Venture Church. He was a dear friend and mentor to anyone willing.
Allen was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and PawPaw. He adored his grandchildren and was known as their "Silly PawPaw".

Left to cherish Allen's memories is his loving wife of 47 wonderful years, Debbie Watts Thompson; his sons, Ronnie Allen Thompson (Sarah), William Daniel Thompson (Kendall), and a dear special friend that he considered his son, Zachary Queen and his 3 children; his adoring grandchildren, Lola Marie, Allie Lynn, and Oliver Christopher; his brothers Gerry Thompson and Darrell Thompson; and his cats, Gracie, Alice, and Mr. Harrison.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. at Venture Church, 800 East Main Street, Dallas.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Venture Church with Pastor Austin Rammell and Pastor Jonathan Pugh officiating.

Interment will follow at Long Creek Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Venture Church, 800 East Main Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
