Charlotte – Allison Elizabeth Matteson, 36, passed away suddenly on February 8, 2022.
She was born in Gaston County on April 8, 1985, to Arthur Eugene Spalding and the late Jackie Lynn Gibson Frisbee. Allison was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Her children were her world. She could always lite the room up when she entered.
Survivors include her husband, Charly Martin Matteson; her wonderful children, Jett Pentecost, Kaylan, Matyline and Ryker Philbeck, Lincoln and Raelynn Gibson; her beloved father, Arthur Eugene Spalding; her siblings that she loved dearly, Arthur Leo (Tyra) Spalding, C.J. Howard, Travis Spalding, Nathan (Summer) Frisbee, Brittany (James) Shelton, Lindsay (Mark) Frisbee; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large extended family in Kentucky.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating.
