Andy Miller Clemmer

Andy Miller Clemmer, born September 6, 1951, in Gaston County, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2026, at his residence. He was 74 years old.

Mr. Clemmer was the beloved son of the late Arthur Eli Clemmer, Jr. and Patsy Ruth Miller Clemmer. Throughout his life, Andy exemplified the values of integrity, kindness, and loyalty that were instilled in him from a young age. His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him, and his loss is felt deeply by family, friends, and members of the community.

Andy is survived by his devoted sister, Patty Blankenship Eller, who was a constant source of companionship and support. He is also lovingly remembered by his nephews, Ricky Gibson and Randy Gibson, each of whom cherished the wisdom, humor, and generosity that Andy brought into their lives. Close friendships were also a vital part of Andy’s world, particularly the enduring bond he shared with Cathy Cook-Dyer.

He was predeceased by both of his parents, leaving behind a legacy of respect and devotion to family. The memory of his parents and their influence was something Andy carried with him throughout his life.

A visitation honoring Andy’s life will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation, located at 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to celebrate Andy's life.

Andy Clemmer’s sudden passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
