Blake Lewis

Anthony Blake Lewis, 36, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 20, 2023. 

He was born in Gaston County on August 24, 1986. Blake was the son of the late Patricia Rimmer Lewis. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, A.R. and Dula Lewis and Boyce and Audrey Rimmer.

Blake was a graduate of North Gaston High School. He enjoyed watching College basketball, fishing, and sports of any kind; especially UNC Carolina Basketball and NFL football.

Blake is survived by his parents, Mark and Lisa Lewis; his sister, Jessica Lewis Barringer and husband Jarius and their children, Riley and Reese; step sisters, Miranda King and husband Mike and their son, Hunter, Amber Beatty and husband Vic and their daughter, Trinity; and many wonderful cousins and friends. And his dear special dog and companion, Maggie who he loved dearly. She was the love of his life.

Blake’s motto for life “If I wanted you to control me, I would have come with a remote”!

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Gaston County, 306 South Columbia Street, Gastonia, NC 28054 in honor of his mother, Patricia R. Lewis.
