April Danielle Burton, 42, entered into the arms of Jesus on June 5, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 13, 1984, in Gaston County, North Carolina. April was the beloved daughter of the late Michael "Jim" Decker and Kimberly Ann Kiser. April was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Decker and Kim Kiser Decker; her grandparents, Roy and Geradine Kiser, and Carl and Mary Ruth Decker; her beloved aunts, Sandy Kiser Neal, Nancy Carol Garrison, and her uncle, Jimmy Queen.

April will be remembered for her warm smile, caring nature, quick wit, and the love she freely gave to those around her. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and encouragement to many, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

April was a joy to those who knew her. Whether she was shopping, listening to country music, or simply sitting around the supper table, April enjoyed spending time with those she loved. She was known for her kindness, her generosity, and her love of helping others. Her thoughtfulness and creativity were often best expressed through her nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in her life. Whether planning a birthday party, beach trip, mountain vacation, or baby shower, April frequently used her planning skills and creativity to show the people in her life just how much they meant to her.

While our hearts mourn her passing, we find peace in knowing that she has been reunited with those who have gone before her and now rests in the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23.

She is survived by her sisters, Alicia Oseguera (Abraham), Mary Stutts (Andrew), and Lisa Schronce; aunt, Pat Kiser Queen; and her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on June 12th, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
