Gastonia – Barbara Lee George Guin, 83, passed away on September 13, 2022.

 

Barbara was born in Gaston County on May 18, 1939 to the late William Alexander George and Lola Bell Taylor George. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jerry Guin; her siblings, Lois Auten, Bill, Gene and James George.

 

Barbara was a member of Union Road Church. She loved her church dearly. She enjoyed

her T.V. ministries and listening to Christian music.

 

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Doris Green and a sister-in-law, Nancy George; and several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends on Friday September 16, 2022 from1:30 until 2:30 p. m. at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.

 

A Celebration of Life graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Time section with Pastor Scott Huffman officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Road Church, 2315 Union Road, Gastonia, NC  28054
