Barbara Catherine “Kathy” Kancar Manlove, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on September 22, 2023. She was born on February 9, 1944, in New Castle, Delaware.

Kathy's life was dedicated to community service. She spent a significant amount of her time working for the betterment of her community and found great joy in these endeavors. Her career was defined by her passion for helping others and making a positive difference in people's lives.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Kathy was an exceptional homemaker. She took immense pride in caring for her family and creating a loving environment for them. Her cooking skills were renowned amongst those who had the pleasure of tasting her delicious meals. Kathy cherished every moment she spent with her family and made it a priority to instill strong values and create lasting memories.

Crafting was one of Kathy's favorite hobbies. She had a remarkable talent for creating beautiful dolls and indulging in various crafts. She possessed an artistic flair that allowed her to excel in any craft she pursued. Kathy's dedication and ingenuity shone through in all of her creative endeavors.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard  "Dick" Manlove, alongside their beloved sons Matthew Manlove and his wife Mary-Margaret, as well as Luke Manlove. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Brandon Manlove and Jana White; great-granddaughter Riley.
In addition to her surviving family members, Kathy will be forever remembered by those who preceded her in death. Her parents George and Edna Wilson Kancar held a special place in Barbara's heart throughout their lives. She also mourned the loss of her son Gregory Manlove and daughter Jennifer Manlove.

Kathy lived a life filled with love, dedication, creativity, and service to her community. She will be remembered as a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and genuine compassion. Her legacy will be carried on by those fortunate enough to have known her, as they continue to treasure the memories she created and the values she instilled in them.

May Kathy rest in eternal peace, knowing that she has left an indelible mark on the lives of her family, friends, and community. Arrangements will be private at a later date.
