McAdenville – Barry Dean "Bear" Conan Barker, 50 passed away January 11, 2020 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Columbia, SC on August 17, 1969 to Rita Helton Barker and the late Coburn Keith Barker.
He attended the Cramerton Temple of God Church. He was a wonderful artist and enjoyed spending time with his family. Barry was also gifted in music he could play the piano and guitar by ear. He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy in Tennessee.
Left to cherish his memories includes his mother, Rita Helton Barker; his daughters, Nikki Dean (Ryan) Martin; and Cierra Michelle Bredsoe;
his wife, Colleen Frisbee Barker; his brother, Curtis Keith Barker; and 5 grandchildren, Hunter, Madyson, Chloe, Sofia and Wyatt.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 at Cramerton Temple of God Church, 5021 Wilkinson Blvd., Gastonia with Reverend Katherine Inscoe officiating.
Interment will be at Goshen Cemetery, 530 Woodlawn Street, Belmont, NC
In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Cramerton Temple of God Church, 5021 Wilkinson Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28056
