Betty McAlister
1932 - 2021

Dallas - Betty Frye McAlister went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2021. She was 89 and just as beautiful as ever.

Betty was born in Hardin, North Carolina on July 9, 1932, to the late Hub and Essie Huffman Frye.

She and her beloved husband, the late Raymond L. (Bill) McAlister, raised their two children in Dallas, where she was a lifelong member of Hardin Community Baptist Church (formerly Hardin Baptist Church). Betty was completely devoted to her family, always praying the Lord would bless and protect them. She was beloved by everyone whose life she touched. She enjoyed working in her yard (especially riding her lawn mower) and fishing with her husband. Being around children always brought her so much joy, and Betty loved to laugh. Her family's most precious memories of her are filled with the sound of her infectious, jubilant
laughter. They pray they will be able to leave the same loving legacy this precious woman has left through all the love she joyfully gave.

Betty is survived by her precious children, who cared for her with devotion and compassion, Daughter, Sandy Medley and husband Bryan of Boone, NC; son, Mike McAlister of the home; two adoring granddaughters and their spouses, Angie Greene and husband John of Indian Trail, NC, and Christy Kirby and husband Dale of Nashville, NC; her beloved great-grandson, Jackson Wilson; her beautiful sister, Nancy McClure and husband Mitch, of Dallas, NC; and various special nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (Bill) McAlister; brothers Harvey and James Frye; sisters Lucille McAllister, Helen Norman, and Doris Bagwell.

Service arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call
to the family will be appreciated.
