Beverly Minter Thornburg

Dallas – Beverly Minter Thornburg, 88, entered into heaven on March 26, 2023. She passed peacefully at her residence with her family by her side.

Beverly was born in Acworth, Georgia on February 7, 1935 to the late William L Minter and Gladys Lou Arnold Minter. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Ernest, Gerald, Billy, and Doyle.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, she also taught Sunday school and was a director and a Minister for many years.

She was an ARC (special needs) worker for United Way. Beverly was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Church of God Prophecy Church for many years. Beverly was a talented seamstress and crocheted many things for family and friends.

She is survived by her three sons, Gerald Thornburg, Jr., Charles (Missy) Thornburg, and Michael Thornburg; grandchildren, Jonathan (Hannah) Thornburg, Katelyn and Caleb Thornburg; brothers, Byron Minter, Bobby (Minnie Lee) Minter and C.L.  (Margaret) Minter as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29^th from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
