Bobbie Holcombe Taylor, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cramerton on December 11, 1932 and is the daughter of the late L. R. Holcombe and Sallie Inman Holcombe.
Mrs. Taylor attended schools in Cramerton. She retired from the Charlotte Observer. Bobbie was an avid animal lover and enjoyed feeding neighborhood cats and animals. She was a very giving person and loved her family. Bobbie was a world traveler and has lived in many parts of the world.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sister, Nancy Joann Johnson; nieces and nephews, Becky Brown (Larry); Dennis Dillard (Jo), Kenneth Dillard (Sharon); special neighbors, Richard and Alice, Nikki Byrd and Pastor Michael Byrd.
The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at South Point Free Will Baptist Church, 297 Gaither Road, Belmont with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at South Point Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Byrd.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Dillard, Kenneth Dillard, Daniel Dillard, Larry Brown, Richard Correll, David Welch.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, Masks and Social distancing is Required.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Lou Holcombe Dillard, Sue Holcombe McCollum.
Memorials are requested to South Point Free Will Baptist Church, 297 Gaither Road, Belmont, North Carolina 28012.
