Bessemer City – Robert Lee "Bobby" Lorentz, II, 61, passed away suddenly on April 3, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaston County on December 9, 1960, to the late Robert Lee Lorentz and Bunnie Sheridan Lorentz.

Bobby enjoyed fishing and was a fan of all sports. He was a fabulous artist; he could see details in many collectibles. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Bobby's memories is his loving wife of 14 years, Brenda Lee Lorentz; his step-children, Wendy Allen (Chris), Laura Emmerich (Chris), stepchildren, Crystal Horton, Mark Goff (Sha), and Chris Noblitt; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Flowers, Caleb Parker, Javon Edwards, Xan Sarrat, Dominick Goff, Amillia Goff, and Marla Goff; his siblings, Wayne Lorentz (Kim), Candace Price (James), and Joy Lockhart (Jason); his mother in law, Mary Bebber (Jerry); sisters-in-law, Robin Kester, Barbara Noblitt and Lori Barber (Odell); nieces and nephews, Journey, Jagger, Jeremy, Dylan, Stephanie, Jessica, David (Jessica), Dustin (Emily); and longtime family friend, Barbara Outlaw and many other wonderful friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Mark II section

Pallbearers will be Jason Lockhart, Jeremy Noblitt, Mark Goff, Thomas Hoefner, David Price, and Dustin Price.
