Paul Bradley Reynolds, a cherished son, father, friend, and mentor, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 6, 2026. Born on January 3, 1966, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Brad’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew him.
We gather with heavy hearts to remember and honor the life of Brad Reynolds, who departed this world suddenly on June 6, 2026, at his residence. His journey was marked by love, dedication, and a profound connection to those he cherished most. A 1984 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, Brad carried the pride and values instilled in him by his upbringing through every chapter of his life. His career was marked by loyalty and camaraderie as he devoted over 25 years to Firestone, where he found great joy in working alongside his fellow employees. Brad’s work was more than a job; it was a community, and he cherished every relationship formed within it. He was a man of God and trusted in the Lord everyday.
Brad was a fun and loving person with a heart as big as his dreams. Those close to him remember his infectious enthusiasm and how he found immense joy in coaching children, especially on the baseball field. His commitment to coaching the Carolina Sting, a travel baseball team, was a source of pride, culminating in winning two Little League world series. This passion perfectly underscored Brad’s generous spirit and his belief in nurturing the next generation.
Outside of baseball, Brad’s love for fishing, hunting, and cooking brought him peace and happiness, allowing him to embrace the natural world and create lasting memories with his family. Yet, above all, his proudest accomplishments were his children, the light of his life who carried forward his zest, kindness, and determination.
Brad leaves behind his beloved mother, Sandy Bumgardner Reynolds, his devoted daughter Meagan Reynolds, his loving son Alex Reynolds, and many wonderful friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Among those he loved dearly is his beloved dog, BaaBoo, who brought profound joy and warmth to his days.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Reynolds, his grandparents, Linard and Annie Jane Bumgardner, Ela Joye Pearson Reynolds and Warren Reynolds, also his cherished fur babies BoWayne, Bolt, KodaBear, and Red, companions who shared his love and loyalty. Their memories remain treasured and eternal.
A time to honor and remember Brad’s remarkable life will take place on June 13, 2026, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation, located at 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Brad’s spirit are invited to gather, celebrate, and share in the legacy of a man who lived fully and loved deeply. As we reflect on his life, we remember a man whose greatest happiness came from his family, whose passions brought joy, and whose spirit touched the hearts of many. His presence will be sorely missed, yet his memory will forever live on in the laughter shared, the stories told, and the love that binds his family and friends together. Rest in peace, Brad. Your legacy is a beacon of warmth and affection that will continue to shine in the lives you have touched.
His laughter, his encouragement, and his enduring love will forever echo in the hearts of those privileged to know him. Though he has departed this world, the warmth of his memory will remain—a beacon of kindness and strength for all time.
