Gastonia – Brenda Gail Pearson, 79, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, on December 2, 1941, to the late Howard and Edna Barker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Calvin Barker.
Brenda was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church and spent her career as a parts inspector for AMP. Brenda loved her family and spending time making many treasured memories with them.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Lemuel Pearson; son, Kevin (Shelly) Burke; daughters Traci (Terry) Bradley, Gina (Steve) Goff; sisters, Wanda Murrill, Diana (Lee) Mele; daughter-in-law Lori Pearson (the late Jimmy Pearson, Son of Lemuel Pearson); grandchildren, Ally and Justin Bradley, Gavin and Gianna Goff, Jimmy (Rachel) Pearson, Jr., Melanie (Joe) Addis; great great grandchildren, Kendall and Cooper Addis.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16th at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17th at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia, North Carolina, with Pastor David MacEachern and Pastor Mike Criswell officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 2207 Flint Hill Church Road, Shelby, North Carolina.
Pallbearers will be, Terry Bradley, Steve Goff, Brian Smicklo, Jimmy Pearson, Jr., Jason Hoyle, Justin Bradley, and Mark Goff. The Honorary Pallbearer will be George Stewart.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
