Brittany Michelle Scates

Brittany Michelle Scates, born on October 12, 2001, in Gaston County, North Carolina, sadly passed away on December 1, 2023, at CMC-Main in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments.

Brittany had a vibrant personality that could light up any room she was in. Brittany possessed a fiery spirit and was known for her love of Hidden Valley Ranch, pickles, and Cheetah Prints. Her unique taste buds added extra spice to her life and left an unforgettable impression on those around her.

Throughout her career at Sake Express in Mt. Holly, Brittany demonstrated dedication and a strong work ethic. Colleagues and customers alike appreciated her commitment to providing top-notch service. Brittany's warm smile and friendly nature created an inviting atmosphere for everyone she encountered.

Outside of work, Brittany cherished the time she spent with her family. One of the greatest joys in her life was being with her beloved nephew Asher. Their bond was unbreakable, and Brittany adored creating lasting memories with him. Additionally, she had a deep affection for her dog Nova and always made sure she was well cared for.

Brittany's departure leaves behind a void that can never be filled. She will be deeply missed by her mother Deanna Michelle Scates, father Jeffery Cloninger (Catherine); brothers Zachary Snyder and Brayden Donahue; sisters Alyssa Scates and Brooke Cloninger; Uncle Randy Scates (Jess) and most especially by her adored nephew,  Asher.  Her pappap, Randy (Alice) was very special to her, he  held a special place in Brittany's heart throughout their time together.  Her loving grandfather, Jeffery Cloninger (Vicky) was so very special to Brittany.   She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Scates and Tammy Graham.

The legacy of Brittany will live on through the memories shared with all those who were fortunate to have crossed paths with her. With a personality as vibrant as fireworks on Independence Day, she brought joy and laughter into the lives of countless individuals.

In remembrance of Brittany's remarkable life, let us look back on the moments of laughter, love, and joy that she so generously shared with us. As we grieve her passing, may we also celebrate the incredible impact she had during her time with us with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7^th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends following the Celebration of Life service  from 6:30 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday, December 8, 2023 at Gaston Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Four Seasons, Gastonia, NC  at 3:00 pm.

May Brittany Michelle Scates rest in eternal peace, knowing that she is forever loved and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
