Bryan Michael Tomlin

Bryan Michael Tomlin, born June 1, 1978, passed away on October 13, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward with enduring affection.

Bryan’s life was rooted in the bonds of family and friends, and those relationships stand as a lasting reflection of the place he held in the hearts of so many.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Woody Edwards (Douglas Edwards). He also leaves behind his children, Michael Tomlin (Candy), Megan Tomlin, and Tristan Tomlin (Kendra Pressley), whose lives remain a continuing part of his legacy. Bryan was also blessed with grandchildren—River, Michael, Cason, Theo, Leilani, and Weston Tomlin—who brought another generation of love to his family.

He will also be remembered by his brothers, Jason Tomlin (Harmoni), Matthew Tomlin (Shana Waters). He will also be remembered by his step-children, Caleb Walker, Andrew Gibson, Morgan, Payton, and Taylor Williams. Bryan’s memory will be cherished as well by his nieces, Skylar and Anastasia Tomlin, Brianna, and Grace Waters, along with the many loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.

Bryan enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with family and friends. He is a forever prominent member of Turkey Creek Disciples.

He worked as a mechanic for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dean Tomlin. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Rose Marie Woody, and Grover and Alease Tomlin. Their memories, together with Bryan’s, remain woven into the story of a family joined by love across generations.

A memorial service to honor Bryan’s life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 East Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054 with Pastor Mike Rice officiating.

Bryan will be remembered with love, missed with tenderness, and held close in the hearts of all who knew him.

His life leaves a lasting memory in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
