Buddy Lee Edison

Buddy Lee Edison, 75, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. 

He was born in Gaston County, on October 12, 1947 and was the son of the late Nelson and Frankie Perry Edison, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Laura Crook, and brother, Donald Edison.

Buddy was a graduate of Dallas High School and retired from working at Brookdale Assisted Living. He enjoyed working and being around the residents. He would often take them special gifts and goodies he and his wife made. He also had worked in manufacturing for many years. He loved to cook, work in his greenhouse, and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time at the casinos, bowling, fishing, golf, and bird watching.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nita Edison; two sons, Christopher Edison

(Wendi), and Brian Edison; step-children, Lynda Hardin, David Brown (Stephanie), Stephen Brown (Irene) and a son-in-law, Randy Hardin; Grandchildren, Payton Edison, Amelia Edison, Taryn Brown, Alyson Hardin, Shawn Hardin, Reese Brown, Chase Brown, and Sophia Brown; brother, Johnny Ray Eidson (Joyce), and a sister, Janie Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3^rd at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
