Carolyn Gee Covington

Carolyn Gee Covington, 83, passed away on Friday, November, 11, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Will Vincent Gee and Bertha Jane Funderburke Gee. She was born in Forest City December 14, 1938 and was a Graduate of Cool Springs High School Class of 1957. Carolyn was retired from Eastern Airlines and Carolina Color and Chemical Company.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husbands, Don Dycus and Jerry Covington; her brothers, Paul Gee, H.P. Gee, Leland Gee, Max Gee; and sisters, Isabel Lanford, Reba Searcy, and Kathleen Cowham.

Carolyn is survived by her sister Valerie Walker and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Carolyn was very loving and kind and was devoted to her brothers and sisters. Carolyn enjoyed traveling and was able to explore much of the world with friends and family. She loved cooking and hosting parties for her family and friends. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time reading on her patio. She was so loved and will be missed by many.

Family and friends of Carolyn are invited to attend her visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Catawba Heights Baptist Church, 311 Belmont-Mt. Holly Road, Belmont, NC with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Catawba Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Johns, Jr. officiating.
