Carolyn Breedlove Daye

Carolyn Breedlove Daye, 86, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 16, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on June 14, 1939 to the late Thomas and Florence Breedlove. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbur Lamar Daye; son, Timothy Daye; and her sister, Joyce Geraldine Breedlove.

Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting. She loved going to the Waffle House every day to eat with her husband where they both became regulars. Most of all, Carolyn loved to spend time with her family and precious dogs. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Gurley (Thomas) and Kevin Daye (Cindy); grandchildren, Samantha Dover and Matthew Gurley; and great-grandchildren, Owen Dover, Lillian Dover, and Asher Remmington Gurley.
