Lincolnton – Carolyn Oxford Gainer, 76, passed away on December 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Mecklenburg County on September 22, 1945 to the late Bill and Pearl Oxford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 23 years, Clyde Gainer; son, Tommy Wilson; and daughter, Merry Wilson.
Carolyn was an avid gardener that enjoyed tending to her plants. She loved animals and making memories with her grandchildren. She was the kind of person that loved living life and making life enjoyable for all of those around her. Carolyn was a very happy soul.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, John Wilson; daughters Cynthia Nolen and Angie Freeman (Larry); brother, Steve Oxford; sister, Terry Oxford; and thirteen wonderful grandchildren.
