Dallas, NC - Carolyn Dianne Thomas, beloved wife of the late Dale Thomas, entered eternal rest surrounded by loved ones at Robin Johnson House on June 14, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late A.C. Murray and Amanda Edna Chambers Murray. Carolyn dedicated her career to serving the Dallas Schools in the cafeteria, where her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and caregiver for her family.
Outside of work Carolyn found joy in simple pleasures like shopping at Hamrick's and dining at the Golden Corral. Her love for shopping was a testament to her vibrant personality and zest for life.
Among her proudest accomplishments was traveling with her dear cousin Betty to the lake, beach, and mountains creating cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts. Additionally, Carolyn was a faithful member of Soul's Harbor Tabernacle Church, where she found peace and comfort throughout the years.
Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family and friends, including her beloved cousins Betty Shook, Geraldine Burford (Ken), Pastor James Chambers and Betty Chambers, as well as numerous second cousins and dear friends at the Dallas School Apartments.
A Graveside Service to honor Carolyn's life will be held at Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City at 12 Noon, Saturday, June 15, 2024. The Visitation will precede the service at the same location. In celebrating Carolyn's life, let us remember her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Soul's Harbor Tabernacle Church in memory of Carolyn Dianne Thomas. Her legacy of compassion and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rest peacefully, Carolyn Dianne Thomas. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
