Charles Alton Gravley

Charles Alton Gravley, 74, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pickens County, South Carolina on September 23, 1951 to the late Charlie and Floreedy Gravley.

Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing. He and his wife, Janice, enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and hosting foreign exchange students. Charlie was a hard worker and enjoyed getting to know everyone he me, he truly never met a stranger. Most of all he loved his family and grandchildren. The memories made with Charlie by all who knew and loved him will be remembered forever.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Janice Gravley; children, Rhone Gravley (Stephanie), Sonia Conner, Anna Puckett, Misty Phillips (Allen); siblings, Tommy Gravley (Mary) and Mary Jean Crawford; grandchildren, Emil Gravley (Jordanne), Dr. Andrea Conner, Jeremie Conner (Caycie), Carter Puckett, Madi Phillips, Tanner Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Maelynn Gravley and Phoebe Conner; also, his beloved dog Gracie.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
