Gastonia – Charles Kelley, 80, passed away on February 18, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Greenville, SC on December 20, 1941. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Louella Hall and Major Taylor; and also, a brother, Tony Taylor.
Charles enjoyed watching western movies, model cars, and especially his dog "Pheobe". He proudly served in the U.S. Amy and retired from Textiles.
Left to cherish Charles' memories is his loving wife, Patricia Swanger Kelly; his sons, Steven Kelley, Robert and wife Jodie Kelley, Scott and husband Lamar Kellar; grandsons, Alex and Donovan; siblings Robert and wife Brenda Taylor, James and wife Wanda Taylor, Barbara and husband Bob Herndon, and Kathryn Waggoner.
