Clyde Hunter Stone

Kings Mountain – Clyde Hunter Stone, Jr., 74, passed away on January 8, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born October 29, 1947 in Gaston County, NC. He was the son of the late Clyde Stone, Sr. and Mable Sherrill Stone. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Mason Stone; sisters, Betty Gladden, Mildred "Pen" McDonald, and JoAnn Stone.
Clyde was a fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed working on computers and watching TV. He loved his cat Lucy but most of all he loved his family and making many happy memories with them. He never left them without telling them "love ya, mean it."
Clyde is survived by his daughters Gloria "Jenni" Stone and Shannon Downam (Billy); sister, Judy Osment; grandchildren, Dylan Stone and Aaron Stone; and his niece April Gosnell and her children.
