Cornelia Dial Bradshaw

Cornelia Dial Bradshaw, 82, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, at her residence in Gastonia, North Carolina, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on December 14, 1943 to the late Clarence and Vertie Dial. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-son, Gregory Bradshaw; and her brothers, Wayne Dial, Juicy Dial, and Verlin Collins.

Cornelia was a faithful Christian who loved to share her faith with everyone. She enjoyed riding her own motorcycle on trips with her husband, and her brother and sister-in-law, Al & Ruthie Michalak. She liked to eat and spend time with her family and friends and would often spend hours talking on the phone with her sister and children. Most of all, Cornelia was a loving wife and mother, who loved her family above all else. The memories made with her will be cherished forever by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Fornie Alexander Bradshaw, Jr.; children, Angela Suddreth, Jodi Owens (Billy), Joseph Bradshaw, and Melanie Sanders (Bernard); grandchildren, Toni Bryant, Amy Farish, Joshua Buckner, Jessica Buckner, Alex Bradshaw, Justin Bradshaw, Isaiah Sanders, Jaxson Sanders, and D.J. Suddreth; great-grandchildren, Braydon Buckner, Kaylan Farish, Isaiah Sanders, Jr., Callie Lee, and Caleb Bryson; brothers, Ronnie Collins, Milke Collins, and Rick Collins; and sisters Betty Jo Oselor and Judy Cline.

The family will receive friends at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. on Friday, October 23, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Tom Builderback officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in the War Memorial Section.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Alex Bradshaw, Joshua Buckner, Justin Bradshaw, Isaiah Sanders, Jaxson Sanders, and D.J. Suddreth.
