Stanley - Daniel Cleveland Simpson, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Robin Johnson House with his loving family by his side. He was born August 13, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio and was the son of the late Pearl and Margaret Simpson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jean Ann Mullinax Simpson and one brother, Bob Simpson.
He was a painter and job foreman for many years. He was always busy. He was never an idle man. He loved spending time with family, he collected knives, coins and liked attending gun shows. He also enjoyed watching football games with family. He attended Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church in Cramerton.
Daniel is survived by his daughter and her husband, Karen (Frank) Spencer; two sons, Daniel (Jennifer) Simpson, Bobby (Debra) Simpson; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Spencer, Seth Spencer, Christopher Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Jordan Simpson; 2 great grandchildren, Freya Spencer, Abigail Spencer; and Fur Baby "Rocky".
The family will receive family and friends 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be private and at a later date.
