Lexington, NC – Danny Cole "Ko Ko" Gelsinger, 22, passed away on January 8th at his residence.
He was born in Lincoln County, NC on July 20, 1998 to Heather Gelsinger Gomez and Leon Thurman. Danny Cole Gelsinger, known to many as "Ko Ko" was a wonderful, loving, caring person and was the most amazing son and brother. He was a devoted father who loved his kids more than life itself! He loved his family whether by blood or not, he loved you as his own. He loved his girlfriend and her son like he was his own. Danny will be missed by so many who loved him and will remain in our hearts forever!
His loving family that will miss him greatly includes his mother, Heather Gelsinger; his father, Leon Thurman, Sr.; his brothers, Jordan Gelsinger, Abber Gelsinger, Leondre Thurman, Quinton Tyreece Wray and Leon Thurman, Jr. (deceased); his sisters, Leann Thurman Hopper, Leonya Thurman and Leondrea Thurman; his children, Grayson Nunn, Rila Gelsinger and Kristopher Hailey (step son); his Fiancé, Aubrey Shipman; sister-in-law, Tammy Faye Breithaupt (Lopez); his grandparents, Jessie Ponder (deceased), Harvey Thurman (deceased), Catharine List, Danny lee Gelsinger (deceased).
Arrangements will be private.
