Dallas – Carroll Dean Jones 86, passed away on March 16, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center
He was born in Gaston County on November 12, 1934, to the late James Mack Jones and Bernice Brown Jones. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother James Mack Jones, Jr.
Dean was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church. Dean was the owner & operator of Custom Machine Company, Inc. He really enjoyed working, fishing, and golfing when he could. Dean was a member of the Gaston Lodge #263. Dean was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 56 years, Glenda McClure Jones; his children, Lisa Jones, Matthew Jones and wife Michelle and Marc Brooks;
grandsons, Zackery Scott Smith, and Tazz Jenkins; sisters, Maxine Nann and Joann Massey; nephews and nieces, Gary Jones, Jr, Sherry Bumgardner, Michael Nann, Tommy Nann, Renee Beaver, and David Massey and several great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20th at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Charles Ledford and Reverend Heath Honeycutt and Masonic rites by the Gaston Masonic Lodge 263.
