Gastonia-Donald Charles "Donny" Huffstetler, 81 passed away peacefully on July 22, 2021 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born on February 21, 1940, to the late Ralph Neil Huffstetler and Mary Elizabeth Harris Huffstetler. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby and Neil Huffstetler; daughter in law, Yolanda Huffstetler and a son in law, Glenn "Dan" Flowers.
Donny was an avid fisherman. He also ran the family business, Huffstetler Upholstery and Refinishing for many years before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He always enjoyed his family coming to the river for BBQ's and family fun. He often taught them to ski, water tubing, and driving the boat.
Left to cherish his memories is her wife of 64 years, JoAnn Green Huffstetler; his children, Kim Flowers, Mark Huffstetler, David (Deanitta) Huffstetler; grandchildren, Derek (Tyler) Huffstetler, Travis Flowers, and fiancée Angie Robbins, Winter (Eric) Barneycastle, Heather (Billy) Bame, Amanda (Jason) Johnson; Ten great-grandchildren; and his beloved buddy and fur baby Milo; Sister, Marilyn Gordon; Several nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 26th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
