Gastonia – Donna Jane Mitchem Dean, 82 passed away March 1, 2020 at the Robin Johnson House.
She was born in Lincoln County on July 15, 1937 to the late Eva Ethel Mitchem and Edward Lee Smith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Terry Green.
Donna retired from Sherrill Industries after many years of dedicated service.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Left to cherish her memories includes her husband of 50 years, William Ray Dean;
her children, Donna Bates, Jackie Green Herod, J.R. Green, Dennis Green, Ervin Green, Terry Green, Deborah Prestwood, Rita Green Cagle, Anita Green Goforth and William Ray Dean, Jr., 52 grandchildren and numerous great grand children;
sisters, Brenda Diane Mitchem Lane, Shirley Elizabeth Wright, and Frances Ann Mitchem Combs; brother Randy Mitchem.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4th at Gaston Memorial Park, Hope section.
