Gastonia – Donna Kathleen "Kathy" Wood, 68, passed away February 19, 2016 at Wellington House in Gastonia.
She was born on December 30, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Betty Wornock and Donald William Wood.
Donna was a school teacher where she taught at Birch Run School until she retired after many years of dedicated service to the school system.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Chaplain Karl Moyers officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
