Gastonia - Doris "Dot" Dickerson Ervin, 84, passed away peacefully on December 22nd at Courtland Terrace.
She was born in Gaston County, NC on November 15, 1936 to the late Charlie H. and Margaret Lowe Dickerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Massey and Margaret Rose Irvin.
Dot was a member of Maylo United Methodist Church. She was a loving and kind soul who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her sister, Charlene Allmond and husband, Lloyd of Gastonia; her daughter, Venecia Lentz; granddaughters, Markecia and Jonecia and 2 great granddaughters all of White Pine, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 24th at Gaston Memorial Park, Cherry Section with Pastor Jay Bissett officiating.
Charlene would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff of Courtland Terrace's Memory Care Unit and to the staff of Gaston Hospice for their kindness, compassion and care for her sister.
