GASTOINIA - Doris Froneberger Gore, 86, of Gastonia, passed away on April 24, 2021, at Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC, and entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father.
Doris was born June 26, 1934, in Gaston County, Gastonia, NC, the daughter of the late David Loy and Maebelle (Rhyne) Froneberger. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her son, Terrell ("Terry") Wayne Propst, her first husband Preston C. Propst, Jr., her brothers, William ("Bill") and Charles Froneberger, her sisters, Helen Rhyne and Margaret ("Midge") Caudle.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memories include her beloved husband of 41 years, Billy ("Bill") Charles Gore who affectionately called her "Darlin"; her son, Michael ("Mike") Propst and wife Debbie of Gastonia; brother, Robert (Bobby) Froneberger and wife Betty of Deer Park, TX; step-son Charles ("Chaz" or "CB") Gore and wife Paige of Gastonia; three step-daughters, Katrina Carol Gore, Donna Gore Vea, Catherine Gore Alonso and husband Steve all of Charlotte; brothers-in-law, Robert ("Bob") Caudle of Charlotte, H.C. ("Bud") Gore, Jr. and wife Pat of Raleigh, Bobby Gore and wife Anna of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and husband Ben, Heather Ritch and husband Sean, Timothy ("Tim") Grzonka, Casey Gore; great grandchildren, Reese and Lane Miller, Mason and Carsyn Ritch all of Gastonia and Olivia Grzonka ("OGG-ie") of Lilburn, GA; nephews and nieces.

Doris loved her church, New Hope Baptist of Gastonia. She served as a faithful church member and missed seeing her Christian family in recent years. She was a very caring person who loved everyone and always offered them a loving smile. Doris married Billy ("Bill") Charles Gore June 16, 1979, in Gastonia. She was most proud of her loving family!
Her life was her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GeeGee), sister, aunt and friend whose presence will be greatly missed. She very much enjoyed cruising with her husband and other family members as well as sewing and going to the beach.
Doris graduated from Gastonia High School and retired from Ti-Caro, Inc. after serving some 40 years in the Cost & Payroll departments.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 28th at New Hope Baptist Church, 2024 Redbud Drive in Gastonia. The funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday with Reverend Dr. Brandon McKoy and Reverend Dr. Ned Buckner officiating. Reverend Dean Newkirk will provide special music.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Hillside section, 1200 S New Hope Road in Gastonia with the releasing of the doves. Pallbearers will be Scott Caudle, Kelly Caudle, Wesley Caudle, Robin Froneberger, David Rhyne, and Tim Grezonka. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of New Hope Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church General Fund, 2024 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC 28056 or a charity of your choice.
Due to the current COVID situation, the family kindly requests that everyone attending the funeral service to please follow safe social distancing, and refrain from shaking hands and hugging. For those who cannot or choose not to attend the service, it will be live streamed whereby you can watch the service on New Hope Baptist facebook
