Doris Seagle Greene

Dallas – Doris Jean Greene, 80, passed away on June 7, 2023 at Robin Johnson House with her loving family by her side.

Doris was born in Gaston County on February 11, 1943 to the late James Howard and Joan Bryant Seagle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Jimmy A. Greene, Sr. and her son, Jimmy A. Green, Jr.  

Doris enjoyed football, especially the Carolina Panthers, and watching other sports. She also had a talent for making flowers and worked as a florist for many years. Doris loved her dog and most of all she will be remembered as a loving mother.

She is survived by her son, Scott Greene; brothers, Jerry Lynn Seagle (Dana) and Douglas Lamar Seagle (Peggy); sisters, Kay Sherrill and Linda Phillips; sisters-in-law, Vickie and husband Terry Bass, Reci and husband Junior Phillips, and Sharon Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday June 10, 2023 at Hardin Community Cemetery in Dallas with Pastor Fain Farmer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent made to the family.
