Bessemer City – Douglas Christopher Hawkins, 52 passed away on March 17, 2021 at Atrium- Cabarrus, Concord.
He was born in Gaston County on September 22, 1968 to the late Lewis Hawkins and Christine Devine Hawkins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Perry Hawkins, who was hit by a car at the beach when he was 5 years old.
Doug was a jack- of- all trade. Currently working in construction; he was very good at what he did. He was a family man and a loving brother, father and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving family, son Scott Hawkins (Angel), daughter Ashley Lopez; grandchildren Joseph, Jocelyn, Christopher, Lucas and Kinsley Hawkins, Kaydence Chastain; brother Danny Hawkins (Teresa) and Clay Hawkins (Lori) and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2021 at Waypoint-Dallas Wesleyan Church, Dallas. The family will receive friends following the service.
