McAdenville – Effie Trantham Robinette, 86 passed away on February 19, 2021 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born in Jackson County, NC on June 16, 1934 to the late Phillip Arthur Trantham and Octia Buchanan Trantham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Joe Keith "Jokie" Robinette; her siblings, Thelma Jane Trantham, Edith "Ted" Grimsley, Catherine Poole, Sara Evelyn Dills, Ernest Trantham, Gene Trantham, Carl Trantham and Faye Hayes.
Effie retired from Pharr Yarns with over 40 years of dedicated services. She was a member of Springwood Church of God. Effie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include children, Calvin Francis (Vickie) Payne Jr; Clara Faye Robinette Young, Timothy Keith (Kathy) Robinette; grandchildren Tammy Reep, Travis (Emily) Payne, Todd (Kelly)Payne, and Chase (Kayla) Payne; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Katie, Garren, Daniel, Corey, Christopher, Wyatt, and Bailey; step grandchildren Kim, Julie, Scott; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; brother, John William Trantham, and sister, Carrie Ruth Taylor;
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Honor A section
