Gastonia – Emma Lee Quinn Lineberger, 82 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Gaston County, born on December 24, 1938 to the late Robert Clayton Quinn and Pearl Barber Quinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Caleb Lineberger; and her sisters, Jean Clippard and Lois Weathers.

Emma was a member of Salem Baptist Church; she loved her church and church family. Emma worked for many years for Bali. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting; often making many different things for Samaritans Purse. Emma also enjoyed working in her flower garden.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving family, Mike (Cindy) Lineberger, Scott Lineberger and Kim Gibby; her wonderful grandchildren, Dawn (Michael) Kiser, Courtney (Ricardo) Hernandez, Scott (Kayla) Lineberger, Megan Lineberger, Emily Gibby and Cory Lineberger; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas and Sorsha Hernandez, and Isaiah Lineberger; brother, Clayton Quinn and sisters, Martha (Don) Dillard and Pat Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 27th at Salem Baptist Church, 1534 Rolling Meadow Lane Gastonia, with Reverend Junior Morris officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in the Dogwood IV Section, with the releasing of the doves.

Pallbearers will be Scott Lineberger, Cory Lineberger, Michael Kiser, Mike Phillips, Kenny Lynn and George Kirby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to at Salem Baptist Church, 1534 Rolling Meadow Lane Gastonia, NC 28054
