Dallas – Eric Robert Gaddis, 35, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born February 15, 1986, in Gaston County to Bobby Wayne Gaddis and Debra Dill Gaddis. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hoyt and Ruby Gaddis, Jack and Nancy Dill.
He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and uncle. Eric loved his church and church family. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Panthers, Tarheels, LSU, and Nascar. Eric was just a "good ole" Gaston County Boy. He enjoyed working at Redneck Tractor Supply with his many friends.
Eric is survived by his wonderful daughters, whom he adored, Ava Claire Gaddis and Taylor Savannah Gaddis; his wife, Amanda Harris, and her children, Chase and Bailey who called him "Dad"; his loving parents, Bobby and Debbie Gaddis; his brother, Josh (Melissa) Gaddis; and his nieces who he was so proud of, Merritt and Molly; his aunts and uncles, Richard (Teresa) Gaddis, Gary (Pat) Gaddis, Steven (Cheryl) Gaddis, Kenny (Jane) Dill; and numerous cousins and many wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 7th at the City Church, (Bethlehem) 3100 City Church Street, Gastonia, NC 28056 with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to: his girl's college fund c/o venmo@gaddis-college-fund.
