Gastonia- Mrs. Esphia McCarter Short, 88, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family.
She was a native of York County, born April 15, 1921 to the late Samuel Andrew and Minnie Nola Watkins McCarter.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Leonard B Short
Her children: Darlene S Heafner and husband Terry
Leonard B Short, Jr. and wife Gina
Five Grandchildren, Karla, Rhonda, Allison, Meredith and Kymberly and Ten Great Grandchildren
Sister, Belle McCarter
Graveside services was held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Bethany ARP Church Cemetery with Rev. Troy Burrell officiating
