Evelyn Wooten

GASTONIA - Evelyn B. "Jodie" Wooten, 85 of Gaston Place went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late John and Lessie Ballard of Mount Holly.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie Hooper, Mary Frances and Jarvis Brooks, Sheila and Steve Barber; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her four sisters, and three brothers.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia NC 28054.
