Faye Garver Grubbs, a cherished matriarch, loving wife, and devoted family member, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 8, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on June 19, 1927, Faye lived a life rich with love, dedication, and kindness.

Faye dedicated most of her career to the textile industry, tirelessly contributing to the field until her retirement. Following this, she devoted over 22 wonderful years to her role at Covenant Village, where her warm presence and caring demeanor impacted many lives. Faye's heart was always with her family, and she cherished spending time with them immensely.

As a faithful lifetime member of Garver Memorial Baptist Church, Faye remained actively involved until her health no longer permitted her attendance. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times.

Faye is lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Ken Grubbs and Libby Grubbs of Gastonia, and Pam Badger of Gastonia, and special friend, Paul Cashwell of Gastonia. She also leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren: Candy Self Walker (Todd), Crystal Hughes (Doug), Angie Bryson (Terry), and Tequila Badger. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren—Meagan Davis (Chris), Gavin Bryson, Dustin Brown (Stacy), Nathan Miller, Storm Badger, Zack Badger, Sami Badger, Bradyn Badger, Mason Hanif, and Hunter Hanif —as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Kenleigh Brown, Jotham Davis, Phoebe Davis; sister, Myrle Bates (Bobby) and her fur baby, Gabby.

Faye rejoins her beloved family in eternal rest, including her parents, Rev. Carmie Garver and Laura Norman Garver; her husband of 66 years, Manley L. Grubbs; and her son-in-law, Doug Badger. grandson, Derek Badger and siblings, Clara, Jeanette, Alvin, Forest; and beloved cat Tom.

The celebration of Faye's remarkable life will be held at Garver Memorial Baptist Church, located at 1920 Modena Street, Gastonia, NC. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life on June 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Garver Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend David Stewart officiating. Faye will be laid to rest in Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC. Pallbearers will be Storm Badger, Terry Bryson, Chris Davis, Doug Hughes, Candy Walker and Todd Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gavin Bryson, Mason Hanif and Hunter Hanif.

Faye Garver Grubbs will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her unwavering love and kindness. May her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege to know her.
