Gastonia – Florence Elizabeth Taylor Windsor, 84 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Maryland on August 26, 1936 to the late Ben and Mary Taylor. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alton C. Windsor, Sr; brother Jimmy Taylor and sisters, Mary Synder and Margarita Taylor.
Florence was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Florence was also a loving homemaker and enjoyed taking care of the neighbor children. She also enjoyed watching and feeding the humming birds.
Survivors include her wonderful family Lynn Wells (Jerome), Cindy Clark, Alton Windsor, Jr (Angie); grandchildren, Brian Wells, Tracy Brown (Patrick Jones), Eugene Wells (Amanda), Heather Youngblood (Jonathan), Keith Bumgardner Jr (Meghan)
Great grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Michael Brown, Case Youngblood, Cassie Wells, Shannon Wells; great great grandchildren, Hunter and Caitlynn Wells;
great great great granddaughter, Kinsley Brown; her siblings Shirley Cornwell, Bobby Norton, Janice Owens, Johnny Taylor, Larry Taylor and Donnie Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31st at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Warner Doles and Reverend Charles Keller officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Gethsemane B section.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Jason Brown, Brian Wells, Patrick Jones, Keith Bumgardner, Jr, Jonathan Youngblood and Case Youngblood.
