Fran Brayton Screws, 76, of Belmont went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2020, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 9, 1944, in Burlington, Vermont to the late Raymond and Catherine Cheeseman Brayton.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Cleo Screws, and a brother Frank Brayton.
She was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church and a former member of Southside Baptist Church.
Fran was married to Cleo who was the owner/operator of Cleo's Heating & Cooling and Energy Equipment & Consultants. She was a strong and loving woman. Fran enjoyed spending time with her family; she was a good mom and grandmother. She also enjoyed reading and cooking for her family.
Fran is survived by her loving family sons Christopher Rouse, Jr. (Crystal), Kevin Rouse (Shannon), Kenneth Rouse, Kent Rouse (Nita)
and Step-children, Gale Entler, Toni Covington, and Stephen Cleo Screws.
Grandchildren: Whitney Snyder (JP), Abby Rouse, Wesley Rouse, Spencer Rouse, Kyle Rouse, Hunter Rouse, and Autumn Rouse, David Screws, Cameron & Jacob Bolin, Jeff Evans; Great-Grandchildren: Harrison and Charlotte Snyder, Landon & Aubrey Evans.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 30th at 6:00 p.m., at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated.
