Frank Winfield Holt, Jr.

Frank Winfield Holt, Jr., 63, passed away at his residence in Gastonia on September 15, 2025.

He was born in Skowhegan, Maine, on March 4, 1962 to the late Frank, Sr. and Arlene Holt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Holt; and his children, Stephanie and Andrew Holt.

Frank was a proud veteran of the US Army National Guard and served two tours in Bosnia. He worked 32 years as a custodian for S.A.D. 54 and he was loved by all of the teachers and students. He was a very creative man and fantastic woodworker. Frank built his own home in Maine and two rental houses. In addition to the homes, he built many structures and projects for his family and friends. He was a great dancer and made lots of friends at dance clubs. Frank was known for his great sense of humor and made everyone he met a friend within minutes.

He is survived by his siblings, Ila Libby, Ann Holt, Leroy Holt, and Ezra Holt.

A memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
