Fredrick Olen Weaver

Fredrick Olen Weaver, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. 

He was born in Cherokee County, North Carolina on June 22, 1940 and is the son of the late Luther Weaver and Bonnie Mae Clark Weaver and was also preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Olen “Rick” Weaver, II, and grandson, Fredrick Olen Weaver, III, sisters, Helen England and Delores Chastain.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.   Fred was a graduate of Dallas High school, Biscayne Southern College and Evans Business College. He attended Pisgah ARP Church and Fred worked and retired from Real Estate business. He bought and maintained many rentals for years and enjoyed every minute of it. He loved spending time with his wonderful grandchildren, whom he adored; he also enjoyed playing ball with Leo (his black lab).

Fred is survived by his wife of 59, Cherrie Cook Weaver; son, Benjamin Weaver (Scarlette) and their children, Gabriel and Lucas, and daughter-in-law, Ruth Weaver Lester and her children, David, Jewell and Lincoln, brothers, Jerry Haskins (Joyce), Darrell Haskins (Wanda), Harvey Dale Haskins (Cathy), sisters, Ramona Pate (Mark), and Emily Surgeon (Don) and several nieces and nephews, dear friends, Mitchell Sanders, Bill Hill and Max George and his devoted dog, Leo.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17^th at Pisgah ARP Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday with Reverend Rick Lewis officiating.

Interment with military honor will follow in the church cemetery.
