Gerrel Eugene Patterson

Gerrel Eugene Patterson, 70, a beloved member of the community, passed away on February 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.

Born on June 8, 1953, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Gerrel was the son of Robert Eugene Patterson and Vergie Bowen Patterson.

Gerrel enjoyed fishing at McAdenville Lake and hanging out at the McAdenville Fire Department and being a volunteer fireman years ago. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. He worked in sales most of his life.

Gerrel is survived by his beloved sister, Judy Wilkinson; his niece, Kim Rodden and her husband Wayne, and their girls, Hailey and Hannah.

In memory of Gerrel, A Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at Woodlawn Haven, 301 Craig Street, Mt. Holly.
