Gastonia – Grady Anderson Parker, 92, passed away on January 21, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County on April 28, 1928 to the late Artie and Martha Parker. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother J.C. Parker, Fred Parker, and Artie Parker. Grady was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife Christine Parker; Children, Teddy Potts and Monica Poole. Ronda and Charles Crumbley Jr., Kimberley White, Grady "Butch" Parker Jr. and late wife Sandy Brown, Roy Fortenberry; grandchildren, Kandice Potts and Ismail Torres, Tara Potts, Stephen Potts, Jessica Galloway, Lanta and Joe Levi, Jason and Deana Galloway, Brad Crumbley and Melinda Hall, Ricky Townsend, Amanda Fortenberry, Tasha Fortenberry and Chris Draughon, Jessica Samole, Jennifer Wilson; great-grandchildren, Marina Torres, Bryant Eagle, Cindy Cascell, Aidan Burnette, Shane Townsend, Cash Levi, Hunter Levi, Hunter Barbee, Madalyn Crumbley, Christian Crumbley, Keely Draughon, Gunnar Draughon, Rylan Hargett, Andrew Samole, Parker Dye, Kinnison Dye, Clara Dye, Caroline Dye, Payton Wilson, Camryn Wilson.
Graveside Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26th at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 251 Olney Church Road, Gastonia NC 28056, with Military Honors and Ismail Torres presiding. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, masks will be required as well as social distancing. If you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated.
