Harold Floyd Robinson

Harold Floyd Robinson, Sr., a retired Supervisor at Pharr Yarn for over 30 years, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was born on September 30, 1936, in Gaston County, North Carolina. Harold was known as a fun and caring Pawpaw to his family and friends.

 

He led a fulfilling life, serving his country with pride as a veteran of the U.S. Army and finding solace in his faith as a member of the Living Church of God.

 

Harold is survived by his beloved daughter-in-law, Paula Robinson; grandchildren, Alex Fitschen (Matt) and their children Samantha and Peter; and Hannah Jenkins (Johnathan).

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Kirkland Robinson and Myrtle Pearl Raughton Robinson; his cherished son, Harold “Robby” Floyd Robinson Jr.; and his brothers, Raymond Robinson and Burl Robinson

 

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled on June 6, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. John Strain officiating. Private Graveside will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

 

Harold Floyd Robinson, Sr. will be remembered for his dedication to work, love for his family, and kind spirit that touched the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace.
